Bernd Porr works in academia, technology and the arts. He is a lecturer at the University of Glasgow and invented the fastests walking robot in the world (RunBot), numerious AI learning algorithms (ISO,ICO,ISO3), deep brain stimulation devices, models of the emotional system of the brain and he conducts hearing aid research. He is co-founder of the company linux-usb-daq where he designs Linux data acquistion equipment, director of Glasgow Neuro LTD and Eigen Productions LTD. He worked in theatre for more than 10 years as a lighting designer, wrote/produced radio programmes/radio plays and has been making (fiction) films since 2008. At the University of Glasgow he made over 200 teaching videos for flipped classroom teaching. He is a radical constructivist who draws his philosphy from neuroscience, cybernetics and social system theory.
